As a partner in the Canadian Sport System, PacificSport Northern BC is an acknowledged national and provincial leader in the development and enhancement of sport in communities across Northern BC.

Mission

PacificSport Northern BC drives the delivery of high quality resources and services to athletes and coaches while exciting youth to live healthy active lifestyles along the Canadian Sport for Life pathway. 

Organizational History

PacificSport Northern BC was created specifically to serve the athletes and coaches of northern BC. By providing a variety of innovative services and programs, the centre helps athletes progress while introducing sport opportunities to the region’s youth.

A not-for-profit organization funded by investments from various partnerships, including the Province of BC, the success of PacificSport Northern BC lies in the excellent training facilities and strong relationships with local and provincial sport organizations.

We have been identified as a Canadian Sport for Life Champion (Fall 2009)

Canadian Sport Policy

The first-ever Canadian Sport Policy was established in 2002. It described a vision and goals for sport to the year 2012. Over the past two years, Canadians have been actively engaged in sharing their views on what sport should look like in Canada as part of consultations for the renewal of the Canadian Sport Policy post-2012.  Click Here to see the final approved Canadian Sport Policy 2012.
